It’s been almost 7 years since the death of Chester Bennington, the iconic frontman of Linkin Park. I have been closely following his first-born son Jaime who always spoke about his father’s death and relationship very openly for good and bad. He recently decided to break the silence as he got fed up with people milking his father’s death for their own benefits and profits.

He also changed his mind about the cause of Chester Bennington’ death. Jaime was strongly against any conspiracy theories in the beginning but he claims to now have evidence that proves it was not a suicide.

“I’ve sent Shawn Dowdell about five or six pieces of evidence to justify the change of mind that I’ve had with regards to Chester’s passing. He doesn’t respond on his own, he doesn’t offer any thoughts on what I shared on his own.”

Shawn Dowdell had a conversation with Jaime telling him he has something which could be considered proof that changes the narrative of Chester’s death. Unfortunately, he backtracked soon after. Being busy with tribute shows for Chester, selling his book with a misquote from Chester to boost sales and touring with his long-dead band Grey Daze.

Basically, almost every person who ever met Chester had released a book about him but barely mentioning him.

Jaime points out very interesting facts. Fans have been arguing that One More Light album is very depressing with many songs sounding like a goodbye.

“Why everybody wants to come up in my dms saying, Chester wrote One More Light coz he was so depressed. When you look at the credit roll on the album, he’s not even a writer.”

Majority of the album was written by Mike Shinoda and not Chester Bennington. He was working on Cross off, a rock song, with Mark Morton at the time. Three months prior to his death.
