I spend hours. And hours. And then more hours.

Researching, travelling, buying tickets to games, filming, editing, writing copy, making thumbnails, sharing, engaging, building a community. It’s a full-time job and a half. And what do I get in return? A 20-view YouTube video and a sweet 3 cents in ad revenue. Inspiring, right?

And yet, the advice is always the same: keep going, don’t give up.

Yes, I have built 7k+ subscribers and have almost 3 million views in total on Youtube, but I still publish a video, and it can flop with 20 views. And that is frustrating.

But let’s be honest. It’s not just me. I follow creators who put everything into their work and face the exact same wall. There’s this one YouTuber I know who spends all his money on low-budget trips. He films tens of hours of content, sometimes sleeping outside to save money on hotels, sometimes risking his life and health. He travels the world, spends a week editing one video, uploads it… and gets 950 views. That’s not even enough for a celebratory kebab.

Meanwhile, TikTok is playing a different game. TikTok actually rewards effort. The same content that…
