Do Advertisers Want to Place Their Ads on Youtube No More?
Last year, I finally hit my first 1,000 subscribers and I was able to monetise my Youtube channel. With a small channel like mine, I didn’t expect to earn big money but I did expect to see a fair deal of growth if I keep producing good videos. Well, what a fool I was.
How did I start monetising my Youtube channel?
It was going really well in the beginning. Hitting my big break with 70k views on 1 video in April 2022. Great video always pushes other videos up as well and I earned over £400 in a month with just 1,200 subscribers. That was really surprising to me and I thought to myself “Wow, I can earn some good money with Youtube.”
Following months, I did drop quite a lot but only because I didn’t have a viral video anymore. Hence, my revenue went all the way to £80. This seems horrible but it was still justified to me because I was making videos for long-term success and they didn’t gain many views at first. And now it actually seemed more realistic to earn only £80 with 1,200 subscribers.
