Robbie Williams Played the Victim… And Sophie Ellis Bextor Had to Apologise? Double Standards :)
There are moments in pop culture where you don’t even know whether to be annoyed, confused… or just laugh. This is one of them.
Somehow, in 2026, we ended up watching a situation where Robbie Williams digs up a 25-year-old comment from Sophie Ellis-Bextor… and turns it into a moment in his documentary.
And not just a random moment. A victim moment.
Wait… what actually happened?
Back in the early 2000s, Sophie said something along the lines of:
“I don’t understand why people are so into him.”
That’s it.
No insults. No attack. Just… not being impressed.
Which, last time I checked, is still allowed.
Fast forward 25 years, and this gets pulled into a documentary — framed in a way that makes her look mean, while he looks hurt. And suddenly, she ends up apologizing.
That’s where it starts getting a bit surreal.
