Scary Ghost Encounter While Filming A Horror Film
For my latest Podcast episode of Girl with a Camera I interviewed a film director, screenwriter, producer and actor Raine McCormack. After directing short films Raine decided it’s time to make a feature horror film.
Raine doesn’t believe in ghosts or paranormal things but what happened during filming of The Village In The Woods made him doubt his beliefs!
Me: I have read that you had some paranormal activity during the filming, I’m very interested in that so can you explain like was it real, you think?
Raine: Well yeah, yeah it’s actually in the film, so that’s what’s great about it. (laugh). So we’re shooting the scene where Jason (Robert Vernon) comes into the main house which is where Maddie lives and there’s all these wicker totems hanging on the ceiling and he comes into there and the secret moment when the door opens…
Me: I thought that was exactly the moment when I watched the film!
Raine: This is it, this is absolutely it! So what happened was is that - that happened and we thought well it’s probably just wind drafts or whatever. And then it did it again on cue which is really weird.
