Would You Want a Second Chance on High School?

New hot film on Netflix called Senior Year starring Rebel Wilson has been trending #1 for some time now. Can you imagine to be in the coma for 20 years, wake up and realise you still haven’t finished your senior year?

I’m not saying this film is a masterpiece. It’s a bit cliche and sometimes it’s not as funny as it could be but thanks to Rebel Wilson, I had a very good laugh overall. It’s definitely a chilled Sunday film just to make you laugh and remember your high school years.

The physical performance of Rebel Wilson was fabulous as usual and she had me in stitches. I can’t imagine this film being so funny without her. I wanted to know how much she got paid for it but I couldn’t even find the whole budget of the film.

The plot is that during the cheerleading stunt, Stephanie, falls and gets in the coma for 20 years. She wakes up and she’s 37 but mentally she is still 17. She decides to go back to high school and discover that times have changed.

Including cheerleading, no captains, no leaders, no losers only winners. You can’t say “gay”. Everyone is popular and Instagram is the new high school.

I can’t not to comment on the great music choices of this film which took me right back to my junior high school days. Who doesn’t want to dance to “Crazy” by Britney? Or Avril Lavigne “Complicated”?

I just realised I am actually the target audience for this film and that’s why I liked it. So for all my people born late 80s or early 90s, go for it!
