You Cover Sports But Can’t Climb Stairs, Really?
There’s No Excuse to Be Out of Shape in the Sports Industry
The same industry that celebrates elite athletes — discipline, sacrifice, pushing limits — is full of people who reject those exact values in their own lives.
That contradiction is wild to me.
I started working out for a very simple reason.
I’m a hockey influencer. I go to games, I’m around athletes, people recognize me, take pictures with me, talk to me. And at some point it hit me — what exactly am I representing?
Because let’s be honest for a second.
The sports industry is full of people who don’t look like they’ve done any sport since primary school. Commentators, media people, “experts,” even influencers — talking about performance, discipline, elite athletes… while looking like they would pass out after one warm-up lap.
And I just thought: no.
Not me.
